Relaxing and refueling: Conscious adherence to rest periods and breaks strengthens the performance of our employees and supports their health. We are committed to providing healthy working conditions, offering appropriate rooms and infrastructure for relaxation. Active recreation and relaxation is available to our employees in the "Body & Mind" courses.
MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION
Our offer actively promotes stress alleviation and body positivity. With that in mind, we offer a wide range of activities, including Pilates, yoga, mindfulness training to reduce stress, meditation, and much more. Our motto is: "The empowering strength of tranquility".
RECREATIONAL SPACE
The spatial infrastructure of the University of Bern offers employees ideal opportunities to network, share ideas or to simply enjoy a coffee together. Numerous university buildings also have their own quiet zones for undisturbed relaxation.
Understanding and Improving Sleep
Healthy sleep doesn’t always have to be “perfect.” It changes throughout life and plays a key role in our well-being, health, and ability to concentrate. At the same time, almost everyone experiences phases when sleep is less restorative. The Sleep House at Inselspital provides employees and members of the University of Bern community with evidence-based information on healthy sleep and sleep disorders. On our website, you will also find brochures and additional resources on various sleep-related topics. Would you like to take a closer look at your sleep? The online self-test offered by the Swiss Sleep Network provides a simple initial orientation. However, it does not replace a medical or psychological assessment.
WORK AND LEISURE TIME
We make sure that our employees can enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
